For just over 20 years Darren has been taking landscape photographs. His love for the ocean began with family holidays to the beach and when his parents gave him his first camera, Darren soon became the photographer on surfing trips with his friends. This has grown into an appreciation of the uniqueness of surfing waves and the coastal environment.

The camera Darren uses is a Canon EOS 20D digital SLR. A waterproof housing enables photographs to be taken from the perspective of a surfer out in the water and sometimes underwater. Darren's lenses range from wide angle (16-35mm) through to a 500mm telephoto lens.
